About us
From concept to commissioning and beyond, we work alongside your team to deliver robust control and safety systems that perform in the real world.
Our story
Cetix has been through several iterations throughout its 40-year history, beginning life as Salem Automation before moving through a series of Norwegian acquisitions, and eventually becoming part of a larger group. The company has always been driven by engineers rather than sales teams, shaped by people who’ve built their careers inside real operational environments, and with a deep understanding of how critical control systems behave under pressure.
Today, our team supports both new and legacy systems, particularly across oil, gas, and energy. Much of our work comes from long-standing relationships and a reputation for solving complex issues, maintaining ageing infrastructure, and keeping essential operations running. Our focus is on delivering reliable upgrades, structured engineering support and the steady guidance clients depend on when continuity and system performance matter most.

Our team
Engineers who understand your industry
Our team is made up of people who’ve spent their careers inside oil and gas assets, energy facilities, manufacturing sites and large-scale infrastructure. They know how control systems behave when conditions change, how to diagnose issues under pressure and how to keep equipment performing long after the original supplier has moved on.
Practical thinkers, not box-tickers
We hire problem solvers; engineers who enjoy solving real operational challenges, not just writing reports. They look beyond the symptoms, understand how the wider system interacts and make decisions based on what’s safe, stable and sustainable for the long term.
Committed to clear communication
Our team prioritises clarity. We explain what needs to happen, why it matters and what the potential impact could be. That transparency helps operators, managers and stakeholders make informed decisions quickly and with confidence.

Our Process
How we work
All projects, regardless of size or complexity, follow our in-house, seven-step Project Lifecycle Process. Aligned perfectly with ISO 9001:2015 quality management principles, it emphasises risk-based thinking, clear requirements definition, and rigorous validation throughout, ensuring that everything we deliver meets both client and regulatory requirements
1
Requirements definition and planning
What happens at this stage?
At the start of every project we agree on a definitive scope of supply with you and plan how to develop a system to meet all associated requirements.
2
Functional design
What happens at this stage?
With stage one complete, we move on to defining a solution that provides the required functionality whilst meeting any design constraints. This includes identifying major sub-systems and defining their inter-relationships.
3
Detailed Design
What happens at this stage?
Here, we look to define the functionality of each sub-system in sufficient detail to allow unambiguous implementation.
4
Implementation and Test
What happens at this stage?
With specification and design now complete, we move on to purchase, build, and unit test both hardware and software in a controlled manner. In doing so, we ensure compliance with standards and design requirements.
5
System Integration and Test
What happens at this stage?
Stage five sees our team realise a functional system from previously constructed and tested sub-systems, fully testing all interfaces, and validating the overall system function against the design specification.
6
Installation, Commissioning and Acceptance
What happens at this stage?
With integration and testing now complete, we move onto installing, integrating, and commissioning all supplied items on site, demonstrating satisfactory operation, training your team in its operation, and achieving full system handover.
7
Continued Support
What happens at this stage?
At Cetix, we don’t believe our involvement should end once your new systems are installed. With 24/7 support options and best-in-class aftersales support, we’ll remain on hand to keep your systems delivering every step of the way.
Our values
We approach every project with an engineering mindset. Decisions are based on evidence, industry practice and what’s best for the long-term health of the system and all those it affects.
We don’t push technology for the sake of it and we’re not tied to one particular manufacturer. Being system-agnostic means we choose what genuinely fits the application, the people who operate it, and your budget.
If we design it, install it or support it, we stand behind it. Our accreditations reinforce this and our testimonials speak for themselves, but the real proof is in how our systems perform out in the field.
We focus on practical solutions that work in the real world. If a change adds risk, unnecessary complexity or cost, we’ll say so.
We build systems and relationships that last. Many clients stay with us because we support them long after the project ends, and we treat every system as if we were the ones responsible for operating it.
Certifications
Our work is backed by recognised industry accreditations that confirm the quality, safety and reliability of our processes. These standards guide how we design, document and deliver every project.
